Stow-on-the-Wold Vintage by the Sea, Felixstowe, Suffolk Hideaway Hut, Felixstowe Dedham, Essex shop Old Spitalfields Vintage Market, London
Touring England in June provided a chance to see vintage shops across the pond. The good news for you and me is that most items for sale in the UK were pretty pricey. Many items were similar to what we see in Minnesota shops. In fact, it was interesting that decorating and collecting trends seem to be international. One example were the antlers, animal skulls and stuffed critters in London. The popularity of bunting has definitely made its way to the U.S. recently too. It was great fun to explore quirky shops – just as it is here, but it really made me appreciate the wealth of vintage treasures available close to home. Thank you to all the local vendors who make shopping a pleasure!
Belle JunqueThe Middle Sister Urban Moon
There are now three occasional shops in St. Paul and all are open this weekend. Belle Junque has a French flair with vintage woods and repainted gems plus lots of small decor items. The Middle Sister is more upscale garage sale with lots of variety and reasonable prices. Urban Moon is a mix of vintage and repurposed plus fresh flowers. Check them out Friday – Sunday. If you make the circuit on Saturday, take time to look at some Art at St. Kate’s from 10-5. Happy saling!
