Belle Junque at 474 Cleveland (at Randolph) has a nice array of refinished furniture, French decor items, and even a beautifully weathered old wagon seat. Possible street paving may require a small detour, but Belle Junque will be open 10-5 on Saturday.

Book lovers will be enchanted with all the books available this month at Your Lucky Day – classic fiction, local authors (of course!), children’s literature and storybooks, cookbooks, foreign subjects, sewing, crafts, architecture. You get the idea; there are lots of choices. You’ll also see many clever uses for books whether interspersed with glassware or as a base for an art project. Saling the South Suburbs

How Quaint in Shakopee has many vintage pieces for adults and children (like the mini white barn). In the rain, the yard wasn’t as attractive as it should be over the weekend! A stop at the Brass Peacock in Savage confirmed that the emphasis here is still on romantic antiques with antique dressers and buffets plus lots of glassware, linen and tea ware. Haupt Antiek Market is ready for fall with pumpkins, gourds, and spooky accents plus all kinds of sideboards, signs and so much more. When the rain stops, plan a little trip to some of these occasional shops. Happy saling!

Antique hardwood and painted furniture are plentiful along with flannel shirts and woolen mittens (!) for the coming cooler weather. There are furnishings for cabin, yard and home to check out. Antique Alley is at 218 Central Ave. in Osseo. P.S. All shops listed for this weekend are open today as well. Happy saling!
Shopping St. Paul

Things were flying out the door and off the sidewalk this morning at The Middle Sister at 416 Snelling Ave. S. in St. Paul. Perhaps the re-opening of Snelling Avenue at I-94 added to the number of shoppers. Or it could be the wide selection of furniture and accessories which draws customers. China, lamps, artwork, jewelry, handmade bags, frames, Pot de Creme paints, and lots of furniture are some of what you’ll find at The Middle Sister which is open until 5 today and 12-5 Sunday.
After going a mile or so west on Randolph, you’ll come to Belle Junque at 474 Cleveland Ave. S. which is home to a selection of mainly vintage and repurposed furniture and home decor in the French farmhouse style. Cabinets, desks, tables, frames, and mirrors are accented with bell jars, bunches of lavender, and assorted flea market finds with a French flair. Belle Junque is open today and tomorrow 12-5. Happy saling!
