Similar colors are abundant in the shops as well. Linda’s Cellar is overflowing with fall and Halloween décor along with candles, signs, dishes, and vintage storage solutions. At Carver General you’ll find desks, tables, chairs, and settees amongst the farm pieces and blankets. That’s just a sample of the goodies at both stores which are open until 5 today. Halloween and Fall Fun at Garden Party Gallery
If you love Halloween, Garden Party Gallery is the place for you! There are pumpkins made from fabric, concrete, wood, and more plus black cats and witches hats. Autumn leaves and sunflowers highlight wreaths and other fall décor. Dining tables and chairs mingle with shelves and desks. Glassware, lighting, signs, pillows, and jewelry are all there. Fall Delights Around the Area
Haupt Antiek Market had lots to inspire shoppers outside while they waited their turn to go inside this morning. Pumpkins and rustic goods were popular. There was so much more to discover inside with vendors going all-out for this month’s Gathering theme. Located at 4740 W. 147th St. in Apple Valley, hours are Thursday until 8, Friday 9 to 7, Saturday 9 to 5, and Sunday 11 to 4. The drive south on Cedar Ave./ Hwy. 77 offered some stunning sumac displays too.
Chaska
The shops of Carver County were displaying fall colors as well. Linda’s Cellar in Chaska at 110 E. 2nd Street offered fall decorations amidst the dishes, blankets, baskets, and flannel shirts. A vintage desk, tables, and chests were there too. Hours are 9 to 5 today, 10 to 4 on Friday and Saturday, and noon to 4 on Sunday.
A short drive west, the historic town of Carver offered a quieter but rewarding visit with two shops located side by side on 3rd St. E. The Good Junk Garage had its yard with all manner of metal goods. Inside were a fantastic tuba and lovely old quilts for chilly nights plus vintage furniture, signs, stained glass, and more. At Carver General there was lots of variety (what you’d expect at an old-fashioned General Store) including tables, cabinets, metal pieces, crates, mirrors, art, architectural remnants, and handmade candles. Hours in Carver are Thursday to Saturday 10 to 5 and Sunday from noon to 4. As with all good occasional shops, you never know what treasure you may discover. Happy saling!
Vibrant Fall Color at Garden Party Gallery
Garden Party Gallery is ablaze with fall color both inside and outside the yellow house. The gardens are still blooming and accented with pumpkins galore. Inside are scads of fall-themed decorations to brighten a cloudy day from now until Thanksgiving.
Among the upcycled and recycled items, you’ll also find handcrafted jewelry and mask lanyards to keep your mask handy at work or outdoors…the perfect accessory! There are also colorful, handmade face masks. Dishes, glassware, vases, art, wall clocks, signs, baskets, kids’ chairs, tables, lamps, and unique storage crates are just some of treasures you’ll find. Garden Party Gallery is open until 6 today and from noon to 5 on Sunday at 1213 Mainstreet in downtown Hopkins. Urban Moon Pop-up is an Outdoor Sale
Like the former shop, this pop-up collection includes small furniture, baskets, picture frames, vases, art, pillows, table linens, textiles, pots, signs, dishes, chic bulletin boards, some seasonal décor, and lots of lamps. Most prices are extremely reasonable with just a few choice pieces marked “firm.” You can enjoy outdoor shopping, but bring your mask in case it gets crowded. Shopping continues until 5 pm today and runs 10 to 5 tomorrow at 6925 Hickory Drive in Fridley. (That’s off the East River Road at 69th – about a mile north of 694 – on a residential street.
