Garden Party Gallery is open again today, Saturday the 20th of March, to celebrate the first official day of Spring. The featured artist this month is Lisa who creates amazing mosaics with found objects. Her mosaics are colorful and bold statements with subtle hidden gems to discover when you look up close. Some would make a fun addition to your garden or patio while others belong in your favorite room. You can see these displayed among the sweet spring and Easter-themed décor pieces, jewelry, and vintage items which anchor the shop’s mission of repurposing old things. Take a spring stroll to 1213 Mainstreet in downtown Hopkins from 10 to 2 today! While you’re in Hopkins, grab a coffee at Munkabeans, a book or treat at Cream & Amber, and check out more art at the Art Center; all are closeby.

The Granary is Worth a Visit
The Granary is a very occasional shop which is open for a day here and there. Today was one of those days. Before the door opened at 10:00, there was a line of shoppers standing in the crisp sunshine. Once open, shoppers hurried to look at all the Christmas décor and gifts and started filling their baskets or clutched pillows to buy. All the goods are handmade by the family including the artwork. The furniture has been repainted to add some charm to the vintage pieces. Being located on a farm, there were several varieties of goat’s milk products. There were even some fresh dairy eggs! There isn’t too much time to visit today before they close at 6:00, but you can put The Granary on your list of small shops to visit in the future. The address is 17450 134th Ave. in Hamburg which translates to a mile south of Hwy. 212 on Hwy. 25 and then it’s the second farmhouse on the north side of 134th. Happy saling!
