Shoppers find so much to like amongst the stores in Buffalo. Starting on Soo Lane, Second Hand Rose has lovely upholstered furniture, signs, art, metal letters and fish sculptures, pillows, jewelry handcrafted from vintage bits, things rugged and elegant. Next door you’ll find a wide variety of household decor and furnishings, some fine antiques, patio and garden furniture, and more on two floors plus the outside space. Hours at both shops are Thursday to Saturday 9 to 6 and Sunday 10 to 5.
There are several shops clustered together on Central Avenue just a few blocks south in downtown Buffalo. On the corner at street level is The Atelier which has both vintage and vintagy goods, lots of plants and planters, signs, pillows, chalk paints, and amazing items to decorate your home. Next door is The Cottage Door with larger pieces of furniture, many painted white, mirrors, frames, and interesting vintage accents including the nautical items in the beach room. Take the inside stairway down to the parking lot level and you’ll find even more. Jute Twine & Burlap and its neighbor have a lean toward more modern furnishings in a bright space. And, last but not least, The Porch is filled with charming vintage furniture and accessories in a cozy room and outdoor pieces to add interest to your garden. The addresses are 30 and 32 Central Avenue. These shops are open Thursday to Saturday from 9 to 5 and Sunday from noon to 4. Happy saling!
