Coming on Hwy. 36, it’s easy to find The Apron Chicks who sell their vintage wares at The Log Cabin at Bergmann’s Greenhouses. The address is 12239 62nd St. N., Stillwater. From Hwy. 36, go north on Manning Avenue and then take the first right. Follow for a block and turn right again. You’ll find a cabin filled with furniture, art, signs, globes, blankets, pillows, clocks, crates, bikes, frames, silver, lamps, aprons, and so much more. The greenhouses are open too for plant shopping.
There are nine shops on the St. Croix River Valley Vintage Crawl. All are open today through Sunday from 10 to 6. Pick up your “passport” and visit all the shops for a chance to win one of three prizes. The card also includes addresses and a map. Happy saling!

The Weathered Cottage has a large storefront and a shed to display all kinds of furniture, accessories, and rustic treasures in downtown Dassel. Located 461 3rd Street South, it’s just a few doors south of Highway 12. The owners offer classic vintage furniture along with painted and repurposed tables, desks, dressers, and cupboards. There are signs, pillows, and many decor items plus a small section of new clothing. The shed has windows, doors, fence posts, buckets, trunks and assorted metal goods. Store hours are 9 to 5 Thursday through Saturday.

There are two neighboring shops also offering a mix of old treasures. Next door on 3rd Street is The Patchwork Cupboard which feels more like antique shops of old with little independent booths each featuring a variety of vintage furniture, architectural pieces, signs, art, and more.
Around the corner at 251 Atlantic Ave. W. is Netty’s with mainly repainted wood furniture and modern accessories plus clothing in the lower level.

Part of your day in the southwest suburbs this weekend should include stops in Chaska and Carver. Linda’s Cellar at 110 East 2nd St. in Chaska (just east of Cty. 41 and north of the bridge) is filled with lots of interesting items including an old Ford pickup turned into a trailer, a metal crib perfect for your garden, and a little shed for storing or selling antiques. You’ll see other garden pieces, wicker, dressers, wood, and metal – and they have boothsful of goods at Junk Bonanza too! The shop is open Thursday 10 to 5, Friday-Saturday 10 to 4, and Sunday noon to 4.
A couple of miles west, you’ll find the shops of Carver. These are six vintage shops clustered in the historic downtown district. Each shop has its own specialties; all are worth a look especially if you’re hunting for furniture. The Good Junk Garage was open for a preview today with tons (pun intended) of metal pieces from turbines to industrial cabinets to assorted agricultural parts. The shop also features wooden tables, chests, and doors plus stained and leaded glass windows. The outdoor “yard” is a treasure trove of large metal odds and ends. The shops of Carver are open Thursday 10 to 5, Friday and Saturday 10 to 4. Check with individual stores to verify Sunday hours or assume 12 to 3. Coffee and light fare at Cup of Carver and Chaska Dunn Bros.
