The wind is blowing, but it’s sunny and warm inside Bachman’s greenhouse where you can shop comfortably at A Gathering of Friends Antique & Vintage Market today until 6:00 PM and Sunday from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
The dealers are bringing in fresh treasures daily so there are no worries if you are just about to set out for the sale. Besides the enormous selection of chairs, tables, bookcases, hutches, breakfronts, bars, mantels, and cupboards, you will find woolen blankets, flannel shirts, posters, paintings, china, buckets, vintage advertising signs, copper pots, toys, games, farm tools, rusty bits, and sweet surprises. There are Santas, ornaments, jewelry, and then some. Seasonal decor is mixed with traditional accent pieces. And after you purchase that perfect vintage something, shop for live plants, pumpkins or fresh flowers from Bachman’s to complete your new look. All this at Bachman’s at 6010 Lyndale Ave. S., just north of Crosstown Hwy. 62. (Remember that 35W is closed this weekend between I-94 and the Crosstown so city streets are the way to go!) No admission, easy parking, and a cafe on site. Happy saling!
E’s Emporium Shines in Fall
Fall’s golden colors are reflected in much of the furniture and décor you find at E’s Emporium. Orange, gold, yellow, and plaid can brighten a cloudy day or warm a cool (or, dare we mention, winter?) day. If these are your favorite colors, head over to 3911 Minnehaha Ave. S. in Minneapolis today or tomorrow for a feel good shopping experience. Most of the home furnishings are from mid-century through the 80s with a lively selection of original, local artwork and handcrafted hats and macramé. Even if retro isn’t your style, adding a unique lamp or accessory makes an eclectic statement in any home. E’s is open from 11 to 6 this weekend and again October 19th through 21st. Happy saling!
