Flamingos Divine Finds is the first shop to open for the weekend. The sidewalk is filled with chairs, original art and prints, and assorted treasures. Indoors and out back are tools, clothing, dishes, record albums, and a huge assortment of furniture. There is lots of Halloween decor plus mirrors, signs, and more. Flamingos is open from 10 to 6 Wednesday through Sunday at 3404 Cedar Avenue South.
West of Lake Nokomis, Urban Cottage welcomes shoppers from noon to 7 on Wednesdays with a great selection of traditional furniture and decor with some rust and industrial items mixed in for good measure. The store is decorated in fall colors and accessories including several spooky Halloween items. There are two vintage clothing areas with assorted handbags and totes – and, yes, boots! Signs, lamps, and mirrors are plentiful amongst the upholstered chairs, buffets, chests, and tables. This month features bread and soup mixes plus a special book signing event on Saturday afternoon. Urban Cottage is open from 10 to 7 on Thursday, 10 to 6 on Friday and Saturday and from 10 to 5 on Sunday at 5157 Bloomington Avenue South. Happy saling!
