Shops in the historic towns of Carver and Chaska are bustling this weekend. All are ready with fall and Halloween decor plus all the usual vintage and handcrafted items we love. A new addition to the Carver retail community is called Rosehips & Willow. It offers a nice mix of vintage and new goods in the old bank building/grocery store at 308 Broadway. It is open two weeks per month, Tuesday to Sunday. Farm Girls Junk and Ms. Mac’s Too had a chicken theme going with the huge metal rooster sign and other chicken stuff. (A word to drivers: take the detour going west from Chestnut in Chaska two blocks south of Hwy. 61 and it will link up with Hwy. 61 to take you to Carver). While you’re in Chaska, stop at Linda’s Cellar at 110 East 2nd St. for rusty, weathered vintage plus lots of Halloween decor. Linda’s is open Thursday 10 to 5, Friday and Saturday 1 to 4, and Sunday noon to 4. Happy saling!
