Artful Walls

There’s no excuse for 1) empty walls or 2) cheap posters tacked/taped to the wall.  I see both all too often, especially among the under-40 crowd.  My advice, no my command: get yourselves to some occasional sales!!  There’s a wide selection, so you’ll fall in love with something – maybe several somethings!

A scene from a northern European town(?) seen at The Bee Cottage in Excelsior.
An evening boater oil painting seen at Flamingos Divine Finds in Minneapolis.
Gothic-esque oil of the Virgin Mary with child (in a magnificent frame) at Urban Cottage in Minneapolis
Abstract florals at Flamingos Divine Finds in Minneapolis.
A dark but beautiful original work hides amidst a collection of crosses at Second Hand Rose in Buffalo.

Do check out the selection of original art at the occasional sales – there’s plenty of it, and all that I’ve seen is incredibly well-priced (most under $100 including frame)!

And if you don’t have the good fortune to be in the Twin Cities area, check out garage sales, thrift stores, vintage shops…
