Vintage Marketplace

The Vintage Marketplace at 302 Oak Street in downtown Farmington is perfectly named. It features almost all true vintage goods whether a kitchen cabinet with a blemish-free enamel top or a century old Singer sewing machine. Some items have been enhanced with a little paint or remade like the darling stuffed animals covered in pieces of antique quilts. You’ll find corbels, columns and posts from old buildings as well as old barn wood. There are gilded sconces and mirrors for those who prefer more elegance in their decorations. Whatever your taste, the Vintage Marketplace is a good place to look for vintage treasures. Open Thu 10-8, Fri-Sat 10-6, and Sunday 12-4.

Going east to St. Paul, you’ll find Urban Moon and The Middle Sister shops open to welcome you this weekend. The Middle Sister is open Saturday and Sunday afternoons 12-5 with a wide variety of small furniture, dishes, handcrafted jewelry and bags, art, frames, and interesting magnet boards like this Eiffel Tower version. The Middle Sister is at 416 Snelling Ave. S. near Randolph. Urban Moon has a nice selection of wicker furniture to be enjoyed during the best part of summer along with many chairs, tables, and cabinets. Dishes and decor have been well-loved, but still are fresh and attractive. Urban Moon at 1048 Selby (just east of Lexington) will be open Thu-Fri noon-5 and Sat-Sunday 10-5. Happy saling!
