Katherine Ainsworth, Founder – After spending 10 years in New York and two+ years in Paris, founder Katherine Ainsworth returned to her hometown of Minneapolis—and fell in love with the metro area’s unique occasional sales. A design aficionado with an eye for Parisian-inspired pieces, she was inspired to create an amazing resource for occasional sale shoppers, and the The Occasional Saler was born.  Katherine now lives in Hamburg, Germany, with her husband and newborn daughter.  She continues to troll for antiques and vintage pieces in the markets of Europe.  In addition to periodically contributing to The Occasional Saler, Katherine has her own travel and lifestyle blog, www.katherineainsworth.com.

Sue Ainsworth, Editor – Sue loves the thrill of the hunt.  Having spent years traveling to Europe in search of special pieces, Sue continues to follow her passion for high-quality, well-crafted pieces with a history, whether old or re-purposed.  She is continually inspired by the many clever uses for items and the artful displays she finds in her favorite shops.  Writing and photographing for The Occasional Saler has given Sue, a natural extrovert, the perfect opportunity to combine her love of unique pieces with her knack for connecting with occasional sale shop owners, whom she finds energetic, creative, and engaging.  She is a longtime booster of small, local businesses and loves to discover a new shop.
