The Granary is Worth a Visit

The Granary

The Granary is a very occasional shop which is open for a day here and there. Today was one of those days. Before the door opened at 10:00, there was a line of shoppers standing in the crisp sunshine. Once open, shoppers hurried to look at all the Christmas décor and gifts and started filling their baskets or clutched pillows to buy. All the goods are handmade by the family including the artwork. The furniture has been repainted to add some charm to the vintage pieces. Being located on a farm, there were several varieties of goat’s milk products. There were even some fresh dairy eggs! There isn’t too much time to visit today before they close at 6:00, but you can put The Granary on your list of small shops to visit in the future. The address is 17450 134th Ave. in Hamburg which translates to a mile south of Hwy. 212 on Hwy. 25 and then it’s the second farmhouse on the north side of 134th. Happy saling!
