Vintage shops have been a mainstay of Chaska’s charm for a long time. Both occasional shops in town are open this weekend. Linda’s Cellar is brimming with fall and Halloween themes as well as a wide selection of garden, cabin, farm, and industrial goods. The turquoise front panels from an old car are a separate category! There’s a room of little kids clothes, books, and toys. Yes, there are (or, were, on Friday) pickles. You’ll find rusty metal and plenty of wood furniture too. Linda’s Cellar at 110 East Second St. is open 10 to 4 Saturday and noon to 4 on Sunday.
At Urban Patina you’ll find lots of repurposed wood and metal tables, shelves, and decorative pieces along with accents to create a modern home with rustic touches. And if you’re lucky, there’ll still be some sweet wild flower bouquets in Ball jars fresh from a local grower. Urban Patina is located at 416 N. Chestnut (Hwy. 41) and is open Saturday from 10 to 4:00. Parking is available at the door of both shops. (If you’re in Chaska before 2:00 today, stop at Red Bench Bakery at 500 N. Chestnut for a snack or lunch). Happy saling!
